1940年代、デニム素材のジャケットがまだジージャンと呼ばれていなかった時代プリーツの入ったブラウスと呼ばれていました。フロントプリーツのデザインは1800年代のなごりがあります。織り上がった後に防縮加工がかかっていない生地は縦方向によく縮み1800年代当時は生地を横使いで縫製し洗い後縮んだ際にプリーツをほどけば身幅を広げることが出来るといった仕様になっていたとも言われています。生地を縦方向に使う仕様になってからもデザインだけが残り現代でもフロントプリーツのデザインとして継承されています。1940年代のデニムは後年のデニムに比べ縦ムラが長い傾向があります。原料の綿を手摘みでしていたか機械でしていたかにより繊維の砕け方が違うからなのか定かではないですが1940年代以前のデニムと1950年代のデニムではムラの表情が違います。orslow6011に仕様しているオリジナルデニムも縦ムラが他の物より長い素材を使用しています。背中の仕様はサイズ3以上はTバックの仕様になっています。物が貴重で無駄なく使われていた時代に大きいサイズの生地の用尺をよくするために考えられた仕様だと思われます。

【orSlow(オアスロウ)】
デニムを中心とする日本のファッションブランド。2005年に仲津一郎(Ichiro Nakatsu)がオアスロウをスタートする。

19世紀終わりから20世紀にかけた時期のスタンダードな服、特にミリタリーウェアやワークウェアと現在もファッションとして着られる服からインスピレーションを受け、“slow(ゆっくりと)”に自身のフィルターを通してデザイン。めまぐるしく変わっていく現代社会においてゆっくりと手を掛けた物作りを行う。

ヴィンテージのマシンを使い、日本製に拘ったクオリティーの高いアイテムを生産。デニム以外にもチノパンやペインターパンツ、アメリカンカジュアルのアイテムを展開している。
